Meet our new Trainee Paraplanner

Preeyen

Name – Preeyen Mistry

Role – Trainee Paraplanner

What is your previous working experience?

I hold a BSc in Biomedical Science and an MSc in Industrial Biotechnology from Liverpool John Moores University. I have previously worked as a Lab Scientist for Medicines Discovery Catapult Ltd where I was a part of a team which tested over 23 million Covid-19 samples during the pandemic. Following this I worked for the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, SGS, as an Oil condition monitoring scientist. At SGS I tested engine, gearbox and hydraulic oil from super tankers and machinery from companies such as Shell and BP.

Why did Paraplanning interest you?

Paraplanning interested me as I enjoy researching and analysing financial products and the challenge of finding the best solutions for clients. Each day is different and varied with multiple case types and strategies to meet the clients’ aims, it’s never boring. I appreciated working with a methodical mindset and problem solving in both my education and scientific career, something I wish to apply to paraplanning!

How have your first few days been at Hadlow Edwards Paraplanning

My first few days at Hadlow Edwards Paraplanning have been exciting and full of new things to learn. The team have been extremely welcoming and helpful, both the training and tasks continue to widen my financial knowledge and develop my skills.
